Turning Ideas into Action and Purpose
Let's talk in-depth about putting ideas into action- and how processes really support this.
It all starts with vision planning. I highly recommend frequently reviewing the mission and vision for your business (do you have these written?).
Currently, my vision involves freeing up more time from intensively running my business to devote quality time to my family. With a one-year-old and kids aged 11 and 8, I'm in an extremely busy life phase. While enjoying this season, I know it's fleeting. This prompts me to reevaluate my long-term business vision and plans to align with my priorities.
For a long while, I resisted the idea of growing an agency model. However, that path now aligns with my current vision of spending more quality time with my family.
To put this growth idea into concrete action and work towards a thriving agency, I am planning backwards from that goal. With my existing marketing and client work, plus a potential influx of new clients, the logical next step is to hire additional help.
I'm in the middle of an intentional hiring process. After putting out an initial job application, I received an impressive 65 applicants within just six hours. From that pool, I carefully selected nine candidates based on their qualifications matching what I required for the role. I then sent those nine a second round of questions to further refine my selection. My plan is to interview the top candidates who make it through that vetting process.
